Our Team Leaders play an important role in supporting both our clients and our care team. Working alongside our management team, you will help ensure that people receive safe, high-quality and person-centred care, whilst supporting our carers to feel confident and competent in their roles.

A key part of the role will be completing client assessments and reviews, observing and assessing care staff competencies, and providing practical support and guidance to colleagues. You will also continue to provide care yourself, maintaining strong relationships with the people we support and leading by example.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced carer who is ready to develop their skills, take on additional responsibility and progress into a leadership role. You don't need to have held a management position before — we're looking for someone who is approachable, supportive and passionate about delivering excellent care, and who is ready to take that next step.

You'll be supported to develop your knowledge and confidence in the role and will work closely with the wider management team.

What will be your pay rate? 

· Your rate of pay will be £14.56 per hour, rising to £15.60 per hour following successful completion of your probationary period. 

· You shall also be paid a payment of £210 for each week during which you are on call, which will be no more than 15 hours each week.

When will you work? 

· The standard hours of work per week are 37.5, Monday to Friday (full -time). 

· Flexibility in working hours and pattern will be required in order to respond to the changing requirements of staffing the service. 

· A working day will comprise of 7.5 hours as follows: Early: 07.00 - 15.15 inclusive of a 45 min meal break 

Key Responsibilities – Domiciliary Care Team Leader

• Complete client assessments, reviews and reassessments, ensuring care needs are accurately identified and reflected in care plans.
• Work alongside clients, families and the wider team to ensure care remains person-centred and responsive to changing needs.
• Carry out care staff competency assessments and observations, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Support new and existing carers to develop their confidence, knowledge and practical skills.
• Provide care and support to clients, leading by example and maintaining high standards of practice.
• Support with care plan updates following assessments, reviews or changes in a client's needs.
• Identify and report any changes in client health, wellbeing or presentation, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
• Support the management team with quality monitoring, spot checks and care audits.
• Provide guidance to care staff where questions or concerns arise during visits.
• Promote good practice in areas including medication, safeguarding, infection prevention, moving and handling, dignity and person-centred care.
• Support the safe and effective introduction of new care packages, including helping carers understand the client's needs and care plan.
• Work collaboratively with the office and management team to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.
• Escalate concerns appropriately and promptly where there are concerns regarding client safety, staff practice or quality of care.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments, reviews, observations and competency checks.
• Act as a positive role model for the wider care team, promoting a supportive, respectful and professional culture.
• Participate in meetings, training and other activities that support the ongoing development and quality of the service.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties appropriate to the role and level of responsibility.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience working in social care
• Holds (or is working towards) a relevant care qualification.
• Is confident providing hands-on care.
• Has good communication and organisational skills.
• Is comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback.
• Can work independently whilst knowing when to seek support.
• Is approachable and enjoys helping others develop.
• Has a good understanding of safeguarding, medication and person-centred care.
• Is passionate about delivering excellent care and wants to progress their career within care.

How will you be trained? 

· We offer a full induction for our staff, and you will receive regular courses to keep you up to date in current practice. We will also support staff to undertake bespoke courses as necessary for your development to enable progression through the company. You will be paid to attend training at your usual hourly rate and conditions linked to length of service will apply for any company funded courses/qualifications.
